Original research

Vascular Cell publishes original research focusing on vascular functionality and behaviour within a wide range of pathological settings such as: cancer, immunology, stroke and degenerative conditions, endocrine diseases, ophthalmology, tissue regeneration including 3d biological printing and others. Original research articles published by Vascular Cell may have a pure experimental nature or a clinical scope such as randomized clinical trials, diagnostic and risk efficiency/outcomes studies as long as they will be conducted on patients with a vascular or vascular-related condition.

The text of an original research article should not be more than 8000 words. This limit is not including the Abstract, References, Tables and Diagrams. As a general rule the article should be structured as follows: Title page including the name of the authors and the contact details for the corresponding author, Abstract and Keywords, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion, References, Figures/Tables and Legends.

The Abstract should have a maximum of 300 words and should be followed by a maximum of 7 key words.

Review

The authors are encouraged to contact the Editor-in-Chief before submitting their manuscript for consideration. In general, the material should focus on a single topic related to Vascular Cell scope and aims. However, it could include new emerging topics related to angiogenesis and any other related fields.

The text of a review article should not be more than 10 000 words.

Case report

Vascular Cell encourages publication of case report articles describing rare and unusual clinical cases related to vascular pathology or any other clinical entity with a clear vascular element encountered by the authors. In addition, these types of articles could also describe rare and unreported side effects of pharmacological agents and factors interfering with the vascular system as well as clinical cases that indicate a new pathogenetic mechanism.

The text of a case report article should not be more than 3 000 words. This limit is not including the Abstract, References, Tables and Diagrams. As a general rule the article should be structured as follows: Title page including the name of the authors and the contact details for the corresponding author, Abstract and Keywords, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion, References, Figures/Tables and Legend

The Abstract should have a maximum of 300 words and should be followed by a maximum of 5 key words.

Methodology and Protocols

Vascular Cell also evaluates for publication of articles that provide coverage on new methodology and protocols including quality-assurance studies. This type of articles should focus on a new method or protocol related to the areas of interest of Vascular Cell. The topic may be related to an experimental or clinical field such as: molecular biology, immunohistochemistry, digital pathology, 3D additive biological manufacturing and others.

The text of a case report article should not be more than 6 000 words.

The Abstract should have a maximum of 300 words and should be followed by a maximum of 10 key words.
